I Need Your Help

Good day blessed people,

I have a few questions that I need someone to answer. Since we find ourselves living in this “new generation”, how do we train our young people to become respectful and productive members of society? It is so easy nowadays for them to go astray. How do I keep my grand-daughter’s mind free from the negative images being propagated on television, subliminal images she receives from video games and from commercials? How do I protect her mind from these images? I need your help.

I remember when my daughter was growing up, I turned off the television. I completely turned it off, so that I could control what she was watching. We had a plethora of video tapes that she could watch, but television be gone, and it was. I told my daughter that she probably should consider the same thing when training my grand-daughter.

Another thing that I need your help with is in understanding why people shoot or kill one another when they are not the Creator or Giver of life? What makes people think that it is acceptable to take life away? In our world today, people kill one another over trivial disputes, non-sensical issues, things that don’t even matter. You stepped on my sneaker, you honked your car at me, you looked at me too long, unbelievable.

I also need your help in understanding why it appears as if our leadership is not focused on eradicating Covid-19? Why is leadership not focused on the bulging and ever increasing mortality rate? What are they focused on? I can’t even understand what they are focused on. The greatest country in the world, United States, over 200,000 deaths. What are we doing? Where is the urgency? I don’t understand.

Help me to understand why we are now living in a world that cares not about people? People, families and loved ones are dispensable and flushable. When did this happen? Help me to understand.

2nd Timothy 3:2 states in the New International version “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness, but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.”

Are we really in the last days? Could this be my answer.

Lord, we need your help. If it be possible, let this cup pass from us.

I am a wife, mother, grandmother and caretaker, and I also work outside of the home. Life has its struggles but I am not complaining. It could always be worse. Many lessons learned on my journey and many more to come--I am sure. God has a sense of humor and I have certainly learned how to laugh at myself. You should too-it is quite therapeutic. After all, some things we cannot change so why not enjoy a good laugh at our own expense. See you soon.
